[Tip] - How to mass edit toodledo items without using their stupid "multi-edit"

The Problem - No easy way to multi-edit

I recently switched from RTM and the one thing I missed was the ability to mass or bulk edit tasks. Sometimes you just need to do that and toodledo really doesn't offer a quick easy method

I know toodledo has the "multi-edit" feature, but it does everything in the list so you have to create a "search" of the items you want to change... you can't just select multiples and hit go.

The Solutions - a userscript... say what?

My solution is pretty simple.  There are these nice browser add-on's out there called "userscripts".  The one I'm talking about is this: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/85745 .  You basically just need to install an addon for your web browser, then install this user script.

Firefox:
1. go here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/ and hit "add to firefox"
2. go here: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/85745 and click install.

Go to toodledo and login and you will have some new options (see image below)

Chrome:
(doesn't work....yet)

Internet Explorer:
(are you seriously using this horrible browser?)

  • No problem.  I thought I would share it since I tend to use it all the time.  Its very handy for quickly adding and removing tags or quickly postponing stuff..
